Helping You to Help Us to have a safe, legal and useful Community Business Directory!

  1. Who is Eligible?

To be eligible for publication in the Orange Public School P&C Community Business Directory (“Community Business Directory”), the following criteria must be met:

(1) The owner and operator of the business must be a parent/carer of a current Orange Public School Student, and

(2) the services or products offered must be suitable to be viewed by all age groups.

If you meet this criteria you are an ‘Eligible Business Owner’.

  1. Registration is free provided our terms of use are accepted.

Registration for the Community Business Directory is free and provided as a free information service to the Orange Public School Community. Registration is subject to the acceptance of, and compliance with, these Terms and Conditions.

Submitting a registration with the Community Business Directory signifies acceptance of these Terms and Conditions in their entirety.

  1. Registration Obligations for Eligible Business Owners

Please respect the honesty and integrity of Orange Public School Community and the Orange Public School P&C.

To do this the Eligible Business Owner must:

  1. provide true, current and complete information about themselves and the business when registering, as prompted by the registration form;
  2. maintain and properly update the Community Business Directory information to keep it true, current and complete by advising the Orange Public School P&C via email opspnc@gmail.com when updates are required;
  3. not impersonate a business through this Community Business Directory in a manner that does or is intended to mislead, confuse, or deceive others; and
  4. only provide information for the Community Business Directory which is suitable for viewing and reading by all ages groups. For the avoidance of doubt, no pornographic, derogatory and/or offensive material may be submitted for publication.

Just in Case: Considering our community and reputation, if we think it is not right we’ll kick you out!

If any information provided is untrue, inaccurate, out-of-date or incomplete, or if Orange Public School P&C has reasonable grounds to suspect that such information is untrue, inaccurate, out-of-date or incomplete, the Orange Public School P&C has the right to suspend or terminate the registration and to refuse any and all current or future use of the Community Business Directory by the Eligible Business Owner.

  1. The Registration to Publication Process Explained.

Registration for the Community Business Directory is via an on-line platform managed by Orange Public School P&C: www.opscommunity.com.au

Registration to Publication includes the following steps:

  1. The Eligible Business Owner must read and accept these Terms and Conditions
  2. The Eligible Business Owner completes and submits the on-line registration
  3. The Orange Public School reviews the registration for eligibility, suitability for publication, accuracy and any other criteria that may be set from time to time by the Orange Public School P&C. Note: There is no time limit on this process as Orange Public School P&C is a voluntary organisation.
  4. The Eligible Business Owner is notified only if a registration is rejected for publication or requires modification before publication.
  5. The registration is published on the Community Business Directory and available to the public.
  6. Any modifications and updates to the Business Register are sent to: opspnc@gmail.com

Just in Case: We may act without telling you to keep our Community Business Directory safe, legal and useful.

Published registrations that are no longer accurate, eligible or suitable and/or do not meet any other criteria may be removed at any time, and without warning or explanation, by the Orange Public School P&C.

And Furthermore: We may no longer be able to support the Community Directory forever.

The Orange Public School P&C reserves its right to remove all or any part of Community Business Directory at any time. We hope you understand that Orange Public School P&C is a voluntary organisation and may not have adequate resources to support the Community Business Directory at all times.

  1. No Liability

The Community Business Directory is a volunteer-run service, subject to voluntary participation by Eligible Business Owners.

To be sure we understand each other:

Orange Public School P&C will not be liable for any loss or damage (including, without limitation, direct, indirect, consequential or special loss, lost profits or damages) resulting from:

  1. the use of, or inability to use, the Community Business Directory
  2. the incorrect or incomplete posting or transmission of any transmissions or data provided to Orange Public School P&C through the Community Business Directory;
  3. unauthorised access to or alteration of transmissions or data provided to Orange Public School P&C and the Community Business Directory;
  4. statements or conduct of any third party on the Community Business Directory; or
  5. any other matter relating to the Community Business Directory.
  6. Acceptable Use of the Community Business Directory

Again, please respect the honesty and integrity of Orange Public School Community and the Orange Public School P&C.

Eligible Business Owners must not use the Community Business Directory in a manner that:

  1. breaches, or is likely to breach, any law or relevant code of conduct or infringes any person’s rights, including any conduct that would require Orange Public School P&C or any other person to remedy any loss or damage occasioned by such activity;
  2. interferes with any person’s use of the Community Business Directory; or
  3. defames, harasses, or unlawfully offends or harms any other person or business.
  4. No Privacy and No Confidentiality

Eligible Business Owners are advised that any information provided for the Community Business Directory and in the Registration Process may be published and is not consider confidential, proprietary or private.

This means:

Any images provided for publication must be attributed as required by Australian copyright law.

Any email address you use to correspond with us may be published.

You agree and acknowledge that you have read and understood these terms of use and that by clicking registering with the Community Business Directory you will be bound by these terms of use.
